Peter Horby is Professor of Emerging Infectious Diseases and director of the Epidemic Diseases Research Group at the University of Oxford. He has conducted clinical and epidemiological research on a wide range of emerging and epidemic infections, including variant CJD, SARS, avian influenza, dengue, Streptococcus suis, Hand Foot and Mouth Disease, Ebola, and plague.
